Question for Medieval/Historical Game Players
How do you feel about integrating Sun&Moon sets into your hoods? On the one hand, they look absolutely amazing: so intricate and well-made, almost like they're from a different game!
On the other, they have lots of dependencies and may strain gameplay with all the many resources needed to be found/produced. I want a bit of a challenge and novelty in my game, but not to have to constantly micromanage everything.
So - do you generally use them? Only use some? Prefer simpler alternatives? Thanks!
Dammit, am I getting tempted to play a Medieval challenge (inspired by @tedsies's excellent new ruleset?
Ngl, I tried playing Walden further, but I have to admit I've kind of run out of ideas what to do with most of the households... 🤔
There's just sooo much prep involved in setting up a Medieval game, I'm afraid by the time I'm done I won't actually want to play anymore. 😅
EDIT: @jacky93sims was kind enough to look into this and found a fix, you should definitely get the updated counter from the original Retro Korea Kitchen upload page HERE!
OK so I have a problem I have been trying to solve but I just don't know how.
This Retro Korean Kitchen is absolutely lovely but the counter seems to be causing an issue with the Moris' cat, Lucky. :/ Basically the moment he is left idle he errors out and sinks into the ground, giving me this error message. Annoyingly it happens consistently within seconds of him idling no matter where he is, so not just when he's trying to jump on the counter or something.
It's definitely that counter, because the problem goes away once I remove it. It's a shame, because it's a really nice set!
Does anyone have an idea how I might be able to fix it? I'm afraid I just don't know enough about the inner workings of objects, especially counters!
Thank you!
Missing the sims again. 🥹
*pokes head through the door*
Hey, everyone, 👋
I’m still around, I just got rather burned out with all my simming projects, it seems, and then I was drawn into one of my other fandoms but I feel that maybe I’m ready to ease myself back into the Sims. 🤠 Lots of catching up to do!
Here’s a little WIPly teaser of something I’m working on.
My toxic simming trait is that I'm a perfectionist who always has to optimally manage their time/needs/wants so that accidents and aspiration failure rarely happen.
It's effective but also less...fun?
Maybe what I need to do is let them fail more often. Go with the flow, even when it doesn't suit my plans.
Me: Hum, I’m kinda burned out with my current game. I know! I’ll download a ready-made ‘hood I’ve been meaning to try and play mostly vanilla so it requires minimal prep.
Also, I probably won’t be taking pics or posting about it.
Also me: *spends the last couple of days setting everything up just right and is already thinking up about 5 simultaneous plotlines*
