thor grinned over at her, stepping back to gesture at the strange land before them. “are we not? look at all of this wonderful orange.... stuff. we have... walls, plants, weird reflective ground, what more could we possibly want?” he joked, letting out a laugh as he stood before her. “isn’t it always fascinating to find yourself somewhere new?” he asked, attempting to lighten the already admittedly depressing mood of the place. “come now, carol - i always believed you to be the adventurous sort.”

“comms aren’t working so some good news would be great right now.” not that she’d expect anything at all because considering where they are, carol might not have any good news either. frankly speaking, maria just wanted some sense of normalcy. god, this place doesn’t even have a coffee shop or a bar. still. this was probably better than facing congress. “god, i really need a beer right now before i start shooting someone.”
