Today is a special day, partly because she managed to get out of bed without waking Ghawaine. But above all she succeeded in finishing the surprise she was preparing for him, it's two victories for one!
She is so anxious to see his reaction, Iseult puts the last croquettes in the plate before adding it on the tray with the other dishes. She doesn't forget to add the little gift she prepared for him.
Iseult makes a last check before going back up to bring it to him. Once in the room, she puts the tray on the table before coming to wake him up gently.
"Ghawaine, my cat. Wake up... "
The mage did many things with a modicum of poise, from cleaning, casting down to even bathing. However sleeping? That was another story. While he often slept incredibly light out of a necessity for safety, there was a limit to how often he could do such.
Last night had driven him to his limits. While pleasurable, by the time Iseult and Ghawaine had closed their eyes, the mage was gone. Even as Iseult rolled out of bed, accidentally stealing part of the blankets to reveal the mages bare backside, he remained unconcious, only a small grunt of reaction before he returned to snoring face first within his pillow.
Iseults gentle attempts to pull him back to the waking world were at first not enough, the mage grumbling something in his sleep and draping his arm over the edge of the bed. Several minutes of continued attention, however, did manage to finally wake him, forcing him to slowly roll to his back and up onto his elbows with a soft groan.
"I'm up..." he chuffed, rubbing his face before ruffling a hand through his hair. "I'm up..." the mage rumbled again, squinting through bed tossed hair and a lance of sunlight determined to sear through his skull. Spotting the tray of food he blinked, rubbing his eyes again before looking up to Iseult with a curious expression.
"My Mouse..." he tilted his head, gaze shifting from her to the breakfast tray. "I... have overslept? Are we expecting guests?" Why was there a tray of fancy food in their room? Did Iseult have dignitaries coming? Or perhaps already here and here he was still in bed when he should have been up, dressed and helping.
"I'll hurry and get ready--"
