Seventh and final study of stills from Studio Ghibli movies, this one being from Howl’s Moving Castle. It’s my favorite movie of all time, and it’s due to both the story and the utter beauty of the landscapes.

Fifth of seven studies of stills from Studio Ghibli movies, this one being from Princess Mononoke. This still is one of the most beautiful stills of all time, from any movie. I feel like a lot of my art aims to have the impact this piece has.

Fourth of seven studies of stills from Studio Ghibli movies, this one being from The Wind Rises.  To me, this movie is Hayao Miyazaki’s magnum opus. It is a story of the creator; an artist at work. I chose this still because it encapsulates the beauty of creation.
