Nature of the Church

Matthew 16:13-19, Acts 20:28, I Corinthians 3:9-11, Ephesians 1:22, 23, 2:13-22, 5:25-27

Background:

         The Church is the Living Body of Christ and not a physical building.  He is the foundation for our spiritual life in him.

Main Point 1: Foundation of the Church

   1. Jesus is the Christ and the Foundation of his church which lives in each individual who serves him.

    2. Humanity didn't create the church only the building,because Christ himself built the living church by dying on the cross and shedding his blood that purchased the church.

     3. The physical building is where the believers come together and honor God through their worship and praise to him.  They also testify about how God has kept them throughout the week and how he has blessed them in many different ways in order to encourage others who might be going through a difficulty trail.

Main Point 2: Offices of the Church

     1. The Pastor who is the head of the local church is not there to make people happy, or to flatter them with great words, or to terrify them into coming to God, but to show them the true way to God and how they can find salvation and not religion.

      2. Everyone has a soul and they are very important to God, and as they come to the building that the believers have for their worship they must welcome them into their worship because Jesus would.

       3. If we the believers who is the Church of the Living God doesn't welcome and treat every person as God would, then how can we be perfect in God's eyes when Christ presents us to him.

       4. People today are more concerned about how many people they have or how much money they give instead of worrying about their souls.

Main Point 3: Community of Faith

       1. Before Christ only the Jews were Gods people and the rest of Humanity didn't have a chance but as Christ came to his own people they rejected him, so he opened the door to all Humanity.

        2. When Christ took the cross to Golgotha and allowed humanity to place him on the cross between two thieves he was creating a new way to God and that is through his blood.  He gave the two thieves a chance to receive or reject him and one was forgiven while the other one rejected him and perished. 

         3. In order to create the perfect church for God humanity must come together as a whole no matter what color, race or area from where they are from.  Christ opened the door for all humanity to come to God and receive a chance to enter heaven.

         4. Too many people look at the out side of Humanity and judge them but only God can truly judge a person's soul because only he can see their heart.

Final Thought:

          I will know ask you the reader one question, is your life in order or in line with God the Father or are you being a distraction for the devil.
