Ghost guirlander
All I can do is try to explain how I made my ghost guirlander 😊 (I didn't follow a tutorial or anything)
You will need:
- Polystyrene balls (I used two different sizes) of course you can make as many ghosts as you want depending on how long you want your guirlander to be.
- White lightweight fabric for the ghost itself and some black fabric for the eyes and mouth. (I would like to recommend thrifting some fabric or upcycling)
- White yarn and some string.
- White buttons for decorations (it's optional) of course you can decorate your ghost however you'll like.
- A glue gun and some fabric scissors.
How to make the guirlander:
Firstly I made the ghosts. (I made 7 in total, 4 small ones and 3 big ones)
- Wrap the white fabric around the Polystyrene ball when you are happy with the shape tie a piece of white yarn into a bow around the fabric to make it stay in place.
- Then cut and fray the edges of the fabric to your liking. Might be easier to use some tweezers depending on the fabric, I just used my fingers.
- Cut out eyes and a mouth using the black fabric (I prefer that no ghost is completely alike) (I used fleece) and glue them on the ghost's head using the glue gun. (be careful not to burn yourself)
- Glue a white button on the bow or decorate the ghosts whoever you want, just get creative. (I wouldn't recommend making the ghost too heavy though)
- Measure how long you want your guirlander to be and cut the string, tie a hoop in both ends of the string (it makes it easier to hang)
- Glue the string on the ghosts with the glue gun right behind the ghost where you tied the yarn. (Begin from the middle of the string and place the ghosts) Make sure to use enough glue, I had to add more glue aften hanging the guirlander.
I hope that this tutorial is useful or at least gives you some kind of inspiration.
