S. Peril Paranormal Investigations Offices
& what's at Disa's desk
S. Peril Paranormal Investigations (SPI) main offices are located in Southern Pennsylvania. Originally, the building was constructed in 1926 by the Peril family to serve as an inn, but was slowly transformed into an office building as the family business of Paranormal Investigations grew.
While no great tragedies have taken place in the building's 100 year history, SPI's offices seem to draw in the unusual. It's not uncommon to feel a light tap on your shoulder as you sit in the waiting room, spot faint lights in the nearby forest, or hear strange sounds coming from the back of the building. These occurrences may be frightening to some, but rest assured, they're perfectly explainable. If you have any concerns, please come to the front desk and ask the receptionist to escort you to one of our ghost proof waiting rooms.

1. Alien Recorder
Is not used specifically for aliens. I just think it looks cute and fun. This is (obviously) my own personal recorder, the company has their own that we use for interviews, meetings, & lectures. I use my own recorder to record my lectures I give, lectures I attend, and quick personal notes, theories, and evidence for our current case/s.
2. Vessel for Charles
Charles is one of the main ghosts haunting our building. We made an agreement that he could stay so long as he A. Follows the rules we've laid for him (no doing anything that will raise bills, no hiding/rearranging important documents, no physical scares) and B. Keeps a physical vessel so we may move him if need be. He prefers to keep his vessel on or around my desk since it's close to the window and I don't mind his pranks.
3. Misc. Ghost Tools
Tarot cards and pendulum for quick communication, bouncy ball for ghosts to play with, coins for offerings. As mentioned before, our office building was preemptively haunted and sits on a "portal" so to speak. Generally the spirits are quite benign, we might discover one of the empty vessels in our supply is no longer empty, doors may be left open or closed, etc. Its nice to have some tools on hand to say hello and set some boundaries for however long they plan to stay.
4. Perfume
This asshole thinks its funny to smell like a ghost as a ghost hunter. It's just too good, what can I say? My perfume is incense, amber, burned wood, & powdery notes, plus chamomile, pink pepper, & rose. I don't wear it when we're actively investigating because duh (we actually have protocol for this, we're only allowed scentless products on investigative stays as there are some olfactory cues for spirits, cryptids, & the occasional extra-terrestrial) but I do like to wear it in the office.
5. "Oh Shit" Flashlight
When an already haunted building hosts a team of people who interact with ghosts almost daily, there are bound to be some residual spirits wandering about the place. What do residual spirits do? Turn off the lights. Even worse, turn off the power. Either way, I'll be needing my "Oh Shit" Flashlight.
6. Candy Jar
The old lady purse candy is irresistible. I love werther's originals, I love strawberry bon bons, I love lemon drops, I love butterscotch discs, I love old lady purse candy. I'll put other candies in there per request but it WILL be mostly full of old lady hard candies and you WILL be hearing me crunch on them instead of sucking on them like youre supposed to. Sometimes I have to move the jar away because I'll eat almost the full jar throughout a day.
