Museum Secrets Episode 15: The Ghost Painter

In yesterday's episode of Museum Secrets, we heard about a secret woman hidden in a painting. Today, in our final episode, we follow that theme on a journey into our Eastern Art collection with curator Shelagh Vainker.

This rather conventional work of a bouquet of peonies was painted in Beijing just over 1,000 years ago, by a woman who served as a 'ghost painter' in the Imperial palace - but there is something unique and quite unusual about it.

Alinor 'Ghost Painter' is just practicing with her dual swords. I wanted to see how she looked without her Collector's cloak. 

(I really need to figure out if surkulusians have ears or not. I'll just continue hiding the 'ears' with hair for now. Also, I hate drawing the feet/boots/shoes part so much.))
