Not bird related but I thought I'd share it! I found a very rare Ghost Slug in my garden last year! I emailed photos to a researcher and he confirmed my identification and added the sighting to the database!! They're invasive to the UK and eat worms which is terrible for the ecosystem but I didn't know that when I saw it otherwise I might've put it in a jar or something to give to a scientist but oh well!

They're blind and live around a metre underground, rarely surfacing! They're carnivorous and have very sharp teeth, they were first discovered in South Wales in 2008!

It was so weird to see in person, it looked like it was glowing purple and blue!! Really weird slug!

Photos below that I took at 8am in my garden sometime last year! I still can't believe I saw one!
