Okay so I got a stupid idea

Ghostbusters Hanted America: Backwater Midwest because you can't convince two New Yorkers that the "scenic route" here means driving through a dystopian town called Eminance where every house has three broken cars on the front lawn

that is if you find a town, the rest is just corn fields. beans if you're lucky

those children can't hide in the beans

I can just see the guys driving down a pitted, asphalt road in the middle of the night. Ray and Winston are in the front listening to a ball game. Egon and Peter in the back; Petes asleep, Egons fiddling with equipment. Simultaneously a PKE meter blairs and the radio shifts to static- country- classical- screaming, white noise. Ray tries to turn off the cacophony of strings even though the Ecto stalled and lost all power. They're coasting blind between hundreds of acres of corn. Egon announces the class. Peter locks the back door and draws the shoddy curtains, he learned early not to wander the fields at night.

I was reading some of the IDW Ghostbusters comics in the days before seeing the new Ghostbusters Afterlife movie so I was sort of expecting to see Slimer in a box in Egon's lab. I absolutely LOVED the new movie!!! Some critics are complaining about the amount of fan-service, but there is one cameo that didn't happen here but was in 2016's awesome Answer The Call. Also, it'd be great if Sony released the Slimer cartoon, the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon and the remaining Real Ghostbusters episodes on VOD.
