One of the true dangers in having Arty Friends is the possibility that you might love the person but hate their art. This typically leads you to standing around at an art gallery or a bar someplace while they’re doing their thing, wracking your brain for some kind of noncommittal compliment you can throw their way. 

Fortunately I don’t have to do that with Ghost Foot, who have the dubious honor of being My Favorite Local Band (and on the odd chance that the other 25 people I know who are in bands might read this: please don’t get your feelings hurt: I love you too). They just released a really good EP called Devils, which I’d advise you to buy, and they’re out there in the world touring at the moment. Go see ‘em if they’re around.
