Just returned from a very emotional work trip (I work at a non profit serving educators in the United States so just fill in the blanks and current events there). I for sure needed an escape this week. And one was provided! Under the cut!
Summary:
A Jay and Sam centered plot like I asked for! I'd love to get more of their backstory but this was still nice. I like the time spent on solidifying their relationship. I don't want the show to take it for granted. Marriage is already a huge commitment. And seeing ghosts? Adds to it. I also love how they showed an alternative to Sam's reality. Kyle describes the ability as a curse, and it really messed up his life.

I think it's significant that they had Bela as a guest in this episode and they didn't have Trevor make some kind of joke about her, or throw in some line about them being together. It means they're putting that to rest. And Hetty was in the room for it.
They seem to be pairing up the ghosts again. I think pairing Trevor, Pete, Hetty and Alberta together -- opposite each other-- is meaningful. Alberta and Pete acknowledged their romance, or lack their of with each other. And other ghosts could have been their partners in that.
