GH SNOWSWEPT: Administrative District
Yae Miko decided she did not like snow.
It was cold, wet and got everywhere. She had to purchase winter clothes at a local Belobog shop…which were admittedly cute and comfy, but still. Snow is a big no no in this Kitsune’s eyes.
As she walked through the Administrative District, she witnessed several children playing in the snow, throwing snowballs at one another. How adorable, even in something as miserable as eternal freeze, children still found a way to have fun and get up to no good. It would be charming, if Miko’s hidden tail wasn’t so cold.
While lost in thought, she happened to notice Paimon floating nearby with some food…oh, oh this was too perfect an opportunity. Miko knew she simply had to mess with her. Not maliciously, just keep her on her toes…or wings. Whatever applies best.
Miko made a quick plan: make a snowball, find a way to blend in, hit her and blend in. Perfect. Miko noticed a trinket Stand she could blend into, so she put her plan into action. She formed a snowball, took aim aaaaaand…nailed Paimon right in the back of the head. Quickly, she turned around and pretended to look at the trinkets. The shop owner looked amused, witnessing the entire thing…
𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇. 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐙𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐄. yeah, that’s paimon. you’re probably wondering how she ended up like this.
busier than a humming bumblebee, paimon had been worked like one, bustling across belobog in pursuit of lending anyone she could a helpful hand. good work is hard work, she’d heard crooned more than once, and it was hard to disagree when the fruits of everyone’s hard labor came to fruition. soon enough, the fragmentum had begun to slow and life began to return to the city. and, optimistically, a few hoped the festivities to come along with it.
tonight, the guards had directed her to the district to help hang more paper lanterns, crafted in the days prior to serve as light. but just as she finished attaching another lantern to the highest wire, admiring her own handiwork, BAM——she was knocked straight out of the sky!
the world blurred white as she crashed face-first into the powdery snow, frost and constellation spraying into the winter night. while the soft impact hardly wounded, she could feel her ego bristle at the clear indignity. what kind of cheap shot was that? as a helpful guard assisted her to her feet, a flush spread across her soft, cherubic face, sputtering, ❛ TO WHOEVER THREW THAT SNOWBALL—— ❜
her gaze swept across the district, noting each face bathed in the golden lamplight. a few lips curled in amusement, eyes softened with concern, other’s heads swiveled away in disinterest. until finally, her eyes settled on a all-familiar pair of pink fox ears. feigning innocence, a dainty hand pressed to its owner's mouth, hiding her no-doubt upturned smile. and very, very sharp teeth, her mind supplied.
❛ … paimon forgives you wholeheartedly. happy solwarm. ❜
