EVERYONE HAS THEIR ROLE TO PLAY IN THIS SPECTACLE. @ghvstrunncr KERRY.
a pout permanently applied to full lips, expression forced into that of a near grimace for what ( to rogue ) felt like hours. everyone had their role to play ── to that rogue could offer no rebuttable or argument ... but there were no rules in place saying she had to be happy about it. any of it. nor was there a rule saying that she had to outwardly fake amiability.
she may have had a role to play in what had so fittingly been referred to as a spectacle ── but it was a role that rogue herself would write ; and on the night in question she would be playing the part of the forced participant.
ACT I, SCENE I : a change of countenance. grimace would fade as a smile slipped into place, gaze once narrow and cold momentarily displaying all the warmth of the sun as rogue lovingly brought the pad of her thumb to run along kerry's cheek.
" hey, ker ... ? " she would begin, tone that of a mother speaking to her newborn, freshly swaddled beneath the fluorescent hum of hospital lights. " you know i hate you, right? "
