Gia stared at the laundry machine in the big house. She had been told she was supposed to wash her own clothes, a fact that was embarassing enough. But now she realized she had no idea what she was doing. With a sigh, she left the laundry room and walked down the hallway to Luce’s room. Knocking on the door, she said “Luce. Open up. I need your help.”
“Is there anything better about fall than the excuse to buy a whole new wardrobe?” Gia asked the person next to her in the night club. The club had looked tacky, but apparently it was the place to be if you were a supernatural living in Catskill, so she’d decided to check it out merely out of curiosity. “Not that I really need an excuse to buy new clothes” she added. “Although I have to admit, I’ll miss sandal season.” As a vampire, she could wear open-toed shoes year round if she wanted to. But as a fashionista, she believed such a thing was a major faux pas.

Gia had just gotten settled into what passed for a luxury hotel suite in Catskill when she decided to go looking for her mama. Upon finding the other woman in the hotel lobby, she said “Is it just me, or have we landed in a town straight out of some hillbilly horror movie?” She was only slightly exaggerating. “I keep expecting to hear the dueling banjos song from Deliverance.”

Ever since missing a meal back when she'd first been on the island, Gia had made a point of showing up on time when she knew meals were being served. While the island's food was left something to be desired, it was certainly better than going hungry until the next mealtime. That day, she had showed up five minutes after lunch had began, which was downright early for Gia. Spotting her pirate watcher who she now knew was a cook, Gia approached her after grabbing a tray of food. "I take it you helped prepare this?" she asked, gesturing to the tray after she sat it down on the table. It wasn't the best looking meal she'd had on the island, but Gia was trying not to insult it if Yulia had helped prepare it. She might be spoiled, but she wasn't dumb enough to intentionally piss off the pirate who was responsible for supplying her with the supplies she needed. And especially not when she was planning to ask Yulia for some beauty products.

Gia glanced down at the tips of her hair, holding them between two fingers to get a better look at them. "I have split ends" she said. "How can these pirates expect me to be a peaceful prisoner with split ends?" She pouted. "Surely there must be somebody on this island who can do my hair without destroying it." She looked to her cousin, as if expecting him to have the solution to her problem.

Gia was stretched out on a towel on the beach, enjoy the feeling of sun on her skin. There was very little to do on the island except sunbathe, so she was currently working on her tan. As she lay there, she couldn't help but observe the other people on the beach. Getting a good look at a passing pirate, she shifted her position to look at the princess beside her. "Did you see that outfit she was wearing?" she asked Luce. "These pirates steal for a living. You would think they could manage to steal themselves some decent clothes."

Gia strode into the canteen and glanced around in surprise when she realized it was empty. Swearing under her breath in Italian, she realized she must have made a mistake with what time it was. Apparently she’d missed dinner. Spotting one other person in the canteen, she walked up to the blonde. “Is there anything to eat around here?” she asked the woman, not even bothering to introduce herself. Gia was of the belief that she needed no introduction.
