These huge and impressive cephalopods are some of the oceans smartest and most curious animals. Often when you get close in a calm and relaxed way they will approach you for a close up inspection. The colours a cuttlefish exhibits are due to tens of thousands of muscles in their skin that cause light to retract differently depending on the degree of muscle flex.
