a bit of a year wrap up for me and my art
Last month I made a set of badge/logo things for the Pro Crastinators RadCon2 event. These guys make great stuff so check out their podcast here!
I saw this video
And i resonated with the struggle so i decided to try the exercise he outlines in the video.
He writes down a bunch of reasons he is doing his project, good and bad, no filter, and then organises them to find the ones that actually motivate him as an artist and discard the reasons that are born from anxiety.
Anyway i wrote them on paper and cut them out cuz i thought it'd be fun and more impactful than if i typed it in a notepad document and then deleted it.
It ends up being very simple but very agreeable, which is what most ideas start as. This is the sort of thing you have as a goal before the world beats the shit out of you and you're a jaded husk of a human being.
I like this goal, it's pure. Hopefully having this will help me keep going by reminding me what i truly want to do
