Melia’s nerves at meeting his folks had rubbed off on Gid a little by the time the night of their meeting took place. He wasn’t really worried about if they would like Melia or if Melia would like them. She was great, his folks were great, there was no way they wouldn’t get along. And being the youngest meant his parents had already gone through this twice now, both times had gone well. Still he really hoped she liked them, that she was comfortable at his folks. Even worried about if she’d like what his mum was serving. There was also his big sister. Molly had nearly choked Fabian and Ann both when he’d brought Ann home the first time, questioning her about babies and marriage. He figured there was no way he’d be getting out of those lines of questioning. With all the babies she was having Gid didn’t know why she needed everyone else to have any. Last time he’d said as much though he’d gotten a slap on his head. And Molly hit hard. But with Mike’s engagement the wedding questions would be in full force. Though maybe he’d luck out and they’d be aimed at Fabian since he’d been with Ann an eternity compared to Mike and Nicholson. The initial introductions had gone well, he’d managed to get them there before Molly and her brood arrived so Melia didn’t have to meet both Molly and his mother at the same time. When his mum had sent him to set the table and he’d dragged Melia into the dining room with him. “You don’t have to help I just figured you probably didn’t want to be left in there alone. Told you she’d love you.” He gave his girlfriend a quick kiss before getting busy setting the table.
