It really bothers me when people say “those Christians STOLE a Pagan holiday” when we can....y’know....have both Easter AND the Spring Equinox ritual....
Sometimes I'm so amazed how well things work out that I truly think I am blessed. In a magical way, not a faith way. Like, my gift upon birth was "things will go better than expected." That's my gift in life.
Yesterday I got scheduled a long 8 hour shift. (8 hours is long when you work on a slow ass Sunday) so I was going to bring in food to eat so I don't spend money, since I only have about $50 to last me through the week.
I ended up leaving my lunch at home and I was so pissed, because that meant I had to eat some shitty dollar menu stuff from BK. BUT I got a $5 gift card from my boss for some game I won during a store meeting. It was to a pizza place across the street. So I was talking to my co-worker and she's like "I'll go in half if you wanna get a bigger one." And I'm like HELL YA! But then my boss overhears and is like "PIZZA!? Did you say pizza? Are you getting pizza? I got money." So then he pretty much ended up paying for the whole thing, which was pretty rad.
So I forgot my lunch at home, had no money, and still got food without paying for it and without asking for someone to pay for it.
And this to me, is a good day.
