From a young age, James had always taken a deep interest in literature. His childhood was spent with his sister, Clementine, spending afternoons going on adventures. Their parents were professors at schools in the area, his mother teaching at a private school and his father teaching philosophy at Cambridge. There was never a dull moment, finding entertainment in what others might consider benign. It had always been the four of them and when Clementine and James went off to school, life began to shift. 

His studies absorbed him at Oxford and his sister found a string of boyfriends that never gained his approval. Almost as soon as he graduated with his masters, he began writing what always fascinated him which was the untouched, the misremembered, the unanswered questions. After his debut novel gained traction, the publishing company found promise in him and vice versa. It was a blur of publications and he began writing until he was up to his knees in accomplishments. His first five debut novels were New York Times Bestsellers and held their spot on the list for several years. When he came out with his first series, he got interested in film and television adaptations. It was at first a hesitant offer, but it also would reach a wider range of audience and demographics. During the blurred motion of life, his sister had a child named Sophie and James didn’t ask questions about who the father was when it seemed he was not in the picture and didn’t plan to. 

When he reached his seventeenth publication, he received the most devastating news. Clementine had been driving home from work when a car accident happened and she was barely lifeless when they got to the hospital. For days after, he felt numb. The only person he had was Sophie through guardianship. He had been residing in London but moved back to Ireland where they had family. An old family estate and manor is where they moved into and it was the start of a new chapter. For weeks after, he started opening himself up to Sophie. He had told his publisher and editor about what happened and needed a hiatus for a few months. Months turned into years and it wasn’t until two years later that he began to start taking on work. At first it came with asking for revisions and a forward for a book. Then it was being hands on for a production. Slowly, he began to write again after years of healing himself. It was the best time.

Now, he has four projects going on and has a few shows and movies under his belt that he’s been working on. He’s hoping that through the society he can find a strike of inspiration, be part of something that has substance, and show his worth to others in prestigious fields.
