Surely most people can agree with me that Jenny and Gilan as a ship is not very good?! Like it makes me physically uncomfortable with the age gap, not to mention they started making moves almost as soon as Jenny became an adult iirc. Also I personally don’t think that it would work. Gilan and Jenny are both too in love with their jobs, they’re very different people (yeah yeah opposites attract but that’s too much opposites for me), they just can’t relate either. Yeah sure there was the lost stories short, but fending off three crooks compared to fending off bandit attacks on tax caravans is hardly comparable. Also, Gilan saying he’s gonna leave his post at the castle in TRR 6?! That’s stupid and plain dumb. That makes sense for the commandant to be away from his most valuable fucking posting.
