It seems that COVID-19 has claimed a member of the Heavy Metal family. Spanish-language news sources are reporting that the great Argentine artist Juan Gimenez has died. He had been in a hospital in his home country since March 22, after returning from Spain, where he lived. Gimenez is perhaps most famous for his work on Alejandro Jodorowsky’s Metabarons series. Over the years, Gimenez was a frequent contributor to Heavy Metal, both with and without Jodorowsky.
