I sharpened & curved the photos prior to the xcf.

So, I decided to go looking for xcfs (GIMP’s equivalent of psds) and, it basically has the same problem as the psd circles. The majority of folk who make ‘em are super obsessed with images that are so blown/washed out you only see the edges or the impression of the person in the image.
Most of them don’t know how to edit images that feature characters with dark skin, even when they made xcfs that are supposed to be “dark/brown skin friendly”.

This color is perfect for autumn-themed images, as it brings out the reds, oranges and yellows. Although I made it originally to make red hair pop in color, it works well on other photos. Examples (x)
As you can see, it does NOT whitewash, so can be used on POC.
Feel free to adjust the color layers and their setting if you need to.
Credit is not necessary if you use, but it is very much appreciated.
Made with GIMP
I sharpened both of the photos before applying the xcf to the second.

You can also download this curve (x) that is also great for redheads.
