Other gymnasts of the German team, like Elisabeth Seitz and Kim Bui, will also compete with a full body suit, the federation said. 

 According to the rules of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), people who compete can wear a “one-piece suit, with covered legs”, as long as it is an elegant design, which means that no athlete who decides to wear it a different fact from the usual is disrespecting the rules. In this regard, Elisabeth Seitz said, according to the BBC, that athletes always train with full body suits and that, after a certain point, they simply began to wonder why they could not use the same suits in competitions.
