Done and Done!
Break out the champagne kiddies, it's here! Ginger Studios is finished and ready to make records. The console is wired, the patch bay is done and all the monitors are run in and up on their stands. Even the green room has been decorated, very comfy indeed!
Some friends have dropped by over the last few weeks for a few tracking and mix sessions to test the acoustics of the main recording spaces and to flush out any nasties. The dark horse of the lot has definitely been the aforementioned green room, which triples as not just a pleasant hang space, but also as a massive, booming tracking room for drums and an enormous echo chamber for uniquely tailorable reverbs!
The accuracy of the control room designed by Peter Brown is amazingly true, the mixes are translating so well from studio to home hifi's, car stereo's, iPods and mastering suites.
