I must know about theonsa chickens!
Theonsa chickens is part of the professor/ta au and is very much what it says on the tin: Theon is a backyard farmer. His chickens are named Henrietta, Henelope, Henknife and Dave.
“Morning. Made some tar for you.” He indicates the Myrish Press, wrapped in a kitchen towel and mug standing by the sink, with his head, almost headbutting her. “It’s been sitting for a good ten minutes, so it should be just undrinkable enough to satisfy your caffeine needs.”
“Thank you,” she smiles, and with another kiss, lets go of him to fill the mug. His own is by his elbow, almost empty already, smelling mostly of chocolate.
“Don’t worry about it.” He winks at her and turns back towards the stove, flipping an omelette with the confidence of someone who’s been doing that for a very long time. “Can you do me a favour and feed the chickens?”
She stops, mug raised halfway to her lips. Surely she must have heard wrong. “The what?”
“The chickens.” He points towards the window with the spatula. “They’re to thank for your breakfast, you know.”
Following where the spatula is pointing, she looks outside the kitchen window into the backyard, where, indeed, three chickens seem to have free rein over the entirety of the backyard, save for a small vegetable patch separated with a small chicken wire fence in the very back.
“You have chickens,” she says, staring out of the window.
