Exactly one year ago today was one of the best days of my life. @numberonedearjohnstan and I drove overnight all the way to Westerly, Rhode Island. We had no idea what was in store for us, but we knew it was going to be amazing. Walking into @taylorswift ’s house was the most surreal experience, and getting to meet so many other amazing fans was incredible. We got to meet Taylor’s mom and dad, who welcomed us as if they knew us forever.

It wasn’t until we were sitting in the living room and Taylor walked in that it actually hit me, and it took everything in me not to burst into tears. Getting to listen to Reputation for the first time surrounded by friends, fans, Taylor, and her family was such an amazing experience, and then sitting next to Taylor as she sang New Years Day (multiple times) and All Too Well on the piano... I was the happiest girl.

Of course, walking back into the living room and hearing “Hey Taylor!” and finally getting to meet the person I’ve looked up to since 2007, that was my favourite part of the day. I’ll never forget how Taylor gave me the biggest hug, and how I didn’t want to let go. How I said “You know my name?!?” and she replied “Well I mostly know you as gingerswift...” and I almost collapsed on the floor. How she called my heart tattoo tiny and delicate. How she saw that we had matching snake rings on and said “TWINS”. How she treated Kelsey and I like we’ve all been best friends for years.

I’ll never understand how I got so lucky, or what I did to deserve this, but I’m so incredibly thankful. Thank you Taylor for picking me and wanting to meet me. Thank you for bringing all of the Secret Sessioners together. Thank you for always being there for me, I promise I’ll always be there for you too. I love you to the moon and back ❤️
