A Gintama chapter a day keeps the ending away...Lesson 375
MY 15 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN LESSON 375:
Everyone’s metaphors about Gintoki’s absence were both insulting and touching.
I loved that these two were hanging out together and had become BFFs.
These two not really friends sitting together, shootin’ the shit.
That must’ve brought back SOME pleasant memories for Zura.
Awwwww!
I was seriously shocked by Kintoki’s brutality towards Tama-chan.
I love her.
If I didn’t love her before, I definitely loved her after this chapter.
I wanted Kintoki dead.
I believe my reaction could be summed up in two words: HOLY SHIT.
And now, in three words: HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Sougo would be so proud of Gintoki.
Gin-chan racing through town with Tama on his back in order to get her to Gengai: so damn sweet I got a bit teary-eyed.
I went from chuckling...
...to practically bawling, in the span of like two panels. Gintama makes me so emotionally unstable sometimes.
That look. I got a total thrill up my spine this time and I’m sure I feel the same thing every time I read this chapter.
SHIPS TALLY:
Gintoki x Tama: if she was the one Sorachi-sama had chosen for Gin-chan to end up with, I would have been totally on board, regardless of her organic state. Who could not love Tama? Of course now I am totally pairing her with someone else, but at the time, I was on board this ship.
Gintoki x Sacchan: that was so sweet, since it afforded us a glimpse of how Sacchan must feel every time Gintoki was around.
Gintoki x Hinowa: I did ship them a bit during the Yoshiwara Arc, even though the rest of the world was probably more focused on GinTsu, so I felt a little tinge of the old wishfulness when she described Gintoki as complex, puzzling, and charming.
Kintoki x Tama: he was totally a villain but there was some kind of weird sexual tension going on just the same.
Gintoki x Kintoki: I mean, Gin-chan DID grab his crotch and kept his hold on it for a good few seconds before the rip.
Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just so freaking amazing. It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s generosity that I can enjoy Gintama on yet another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
