How about class 1-A learning English? Who do you think already knew before going to America? Who struggled the most with it? HCs please! Thanks!

Class 1-A HC:

Bakugou:

💣 he isnt at the top of his class for nothing, this boi knows English well.

💣 He didnt have to hard of a time understand someone. But even if he did do you honestly think he'd tell someone.

💣 he definitely knew English before hand, his parents are fashion designers so of course he's been around English speaking folks most of his life.

Midoriya:

🥦 Here's another boy that can speak English.

🥦 Unlike Bakugou he doesnt mind asking someone to repeat themselves if he didnt understand something someone said.

🥦 He didnt know it well before but he also was tutored by All Might before coming here.

Kirishima:

🦈 While English is definitely not this Shark Boi's strong suit he does try hes best.

🦈 One of the ones that had a hard time understand someone.

🦈 Definitely didnt know it before he came over. But picked it up during his stay.

Momo:

👑 A daughter to one of a influential family, it was mandatory for her to learn English as a second language.

👑 Had 0 issues

👑 already knew it

Jirou:

🎵 English wasnt a hard subject for her but definitely not something she enjoyed

🎵 had slight issue but is ultimately ok

🎵 knew some but definitely learned more while there.

Kouda:

🐇 Being mute made it difficult for him to get across what he wanted because not many people know JSL

🐇 understands everyone perfectly well

🐇 had some middle school lessons but didnt really buckle down until attending UA

Shouji:

🕷 Not someone that has issues with the language.

🕷 might need some correct of tense but thats it

🕷 UA helped with teaching him more, especially since Present Mic and All Might both are fluent English speakers

Ojiro:

🐎 same as Shouji

Satou:

🎂 conversions are a bitch

🎂 could understand and be understood

🎂 helping at his family's baker helped alot because of the tourism it has

Tokoyami:

🦇 never spoke english before

🦇 pronouncing certain words is difficult for our avian headed boi

🦇 no prior experience with speaking the language outside of class

Todoroki:

🍲 being the son of Endeavor doesnt really do much but at least he can understand English as if its a second language, which it is.

🍲 doesnt have an issues

🍲 yes he does have experience

Tsu:

🐸 has some issues but nothing to bad

🐸 always asks for help if she doesnt understand

Mina:

👽 all the issues

👽 she almost didnt come but her friends convinced her itd be worth it.

Hagakure:

🧚‍♀️ could actually speak it fluently

🧚‍♀️ no issue

🧚‍♀️ didnt really need any help but was willing to help others

Aoyama:

💖 he already speaks French and Japanese throwing one more language isnt goinng to stop this disco ball of cute

💖 didnt have that many issues

💖 would sometimes slip into french, especially when in cities close to the Canadian border

Kaminari:

💡 same as Mina.

💡 Pikachu had one leg over on Mina though he could talk in meme.

💡 still needed help from his classmates

Sero:

📎surprisingly not as bad as his best friend

📎 use to work in a tourist area so was use to helping wayward Americans find their way back

📎 only needed help reading the signs

Iida:

🤖 another one from a prestigious family. So yes he knows english.

🤖 can actual speak it fluently and without an accent

🤖 helps his classmates

Uraraka:

🍡 sticks close to Iida or Momo

🍡 needs help with signs and if she ever got separated from the others

🍡 little to no experience with the English language outside of class

M*enta:

🍇he wasnt allowed to go on the trip

Class 1-A in America HC:

Bakugou:

💣 the first time he lets his quirk off in an American city, the local police are called and he's told that unauthorized use of his quirk will have him detained.

💣 surprised by how many people are jumpy when they hear his quirk.

💣 when class 1-A meets with veterans he's actually very respectful towards the vets and doesnt actively use his quirk. He's still a foul mouth hot head but without the explosions

💣 he loves the fact that Americans have competitions of eating spicy food.

Shinsou:

🧠 the first time someone other than Midoriya told him his quirk was good for Hero work

🧠 meets with an American hero that has the same kind of quirk and notices that no one is acting like they were going to be a turn coat.

🧠has a mini break down but ultimately asks for a autograph

🧠 doesnt want to leave America when his times up as an exchange student. Keeps his American host family's contact information on his phone even years after his time as an exchange student.

Midoriya:

🥦 the first thing he does finding out he gets to go to America is bombard All Might for things to do while there.

🥦 he also fan boys if he meets American Heros.

Kirishima:

🦈 AQUARIUMS... all the aquariums. Especially loves Sea World.

🦈 if he goes to an American Hero School(think the American UA) he will definitely try out their training grounds.

Momo:

👑 pretty respectful and learns alot.

👑 makes sure to take lots of pictures and gets souvenirs for everyone back home.

Sero:

📎 is fascinated with all the cultural differences between Japan and America.

📎 always video calls home once a night just to talk to his parents and friends.

Kaminari:

💡 has a bit of an issue with the diffrent accents but ultimately loves it.

💡 loves that Pikachu is just as big here as he is home.

Sato:

🎂 loves learning new recipes to try out when he gets home.

🎂 is loved by his host family because he's an amaizng cook.

Ojiro:

🐎 loves learning how to box and wrestling

🐎 is very respectful to his host family.

Shouji:

🕷 becomes a favorite among his host family because he's so tall so he can reach the top of the fridge.

🕷 stays in contact with his host family after he comes home.

Hagakure:

🧚‍♀️ her host family didnt know what to think the first time they met her.

🧚‍♀️ she ultimately became a favorite among her host family and new friends.

Jirou:

🎵 loves the indie music scene

🎵 is offered a contract to start her own band

Mina:

👽 loves the fringe culture she finds

👽 becomes really popular with conspiracy theorists

Tsu:

🐸 depending on where her host family lives she either a very happy frog girl or dying from heat stroke. Theres no in between.

🐸 loves visiting the forests around her hsot family's home.

Kouda:

🐇 his host family's pets love him

🐇 tries to help local shelters find the perfect homes for the animals. Especially in some of the high-kill shelters that are run in the US

Todoroki:

🍲 when he first sees a "tourist trap" he's enthralled. Take him to Butter Jesus and this boy will love forever.

🍲 loves finding out that there are other dishes like his favorite cold Soba

Tokoyami:

🦇 loves visiting all the "spooky" places in the town his host family lives

🦇 becomes the defacto leader of the local goth kids.

Uraraka:

🍡 buys all the sweets she can, its cheaper to buy them in bulk here then back home.

🍡 always makes time to call her parents and friends

Iida:

🤖 spends alot of time visiting places he and Tensei always talked about going to. Takes pictures for Tensei

🤖 like Momo buys everyone small gifts

Aoyama:

💖 if his host family is near the Canadian border he because nostalgic because of the fact they speak French, so he has a link to his old home.

💖 loves that he can randomly start talking in french and asks him what, they'll actually answer him in english or french depending.

M*neta:

🍇 doesnt pass customs

🍇 gets shipped back to Japan for harrasing his host family's daughter.
