hello! I was wondering if you could give some instructions on making cleansing bundles? Also, where could I get the herbs online?

Hello there!

I’m assuming this is for smoke-cleansing? I’ve made a few bundles for that in my time, but I didn’t purchase the herbs online, I grew them. It’s best to start the bundles with fresh herbs and it’s hard to find anything that’s not dried or cut and sifted.

Fortunately, green sage and basil (my go-to’s) are easily grown in windowsill pots with a little potting soil and diligent watering. You should be able to find the seeds at any store with a gardening section.

Once the stalks are 5-6″ tall, clip them below the lowest set of leaves so that there’s a little bit of stem showing. Bunch them together and tie the bundle tightly with string, then hang it to dry. Leave it hanging until the bundle is completely stiff and the ends are crunchy. It should take about two weeks, give or take.
