My Train Travel from Mumbai To Raipur by Gitanjali Express
Exploring new locations is always a passion for me and I love to travel with comfort. I usually book business class flights and I like train travel with two-tier AC also. I am an outdoor person and love trekking, hiking in natural environments, adventure sports, free flying paragliding, water surfing, river rafting and wildlife. Whenever I get a break from my work I go to new places visiting important tourist places there. Last time I decided to go to Chhattisgarh and I booked for my train travel from Mumbai (CSTM) to Raipur (R) by Gitanjali Express well in advance.
The scheduled time of departure of the train was 06.00 am and therefore I had my bag packed on the previous day and kept everything ready by night. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus was about one and a half hour drive from my house and so I had a cab arranged to take me to the railway station. The cab arrived at 04.00 am and I reached the station at about 05.30 am. The train was already on the platform and I had my ticket booked in two tier AC coach. As I took my seat in the train, I saw that my co-passengers have not yet arrived. Soon the other passengers also got in and I saw that the other three occupants consisted of a couple and their 7 year old son. We introduced ourselves and I learnt that they lived in Kolkata and were going back after visiting their parents.

The train started at the correct time and I went to sleep as I was too sleepy after getting up early in the morning. After sleeping for a couple of hours I got up and had a cup of tea and breakfast brought from the pantry car. I also ordered for my lunch and dinner in the train as I will reach Raipur late, by 11.25 pm.
The train reached Raipur Junction at 11.30 and I got out of the station and got into the cab sent from the hotel where I had booked my room. My train travel from Mumbai (CSTM) to Raipur (R) by Gitanjali Express took only 17 hours and 30 minutes and the journey was very comfortable.
