This one is blurry, but carries different meanings. One is, having the feeling of being invisivble as a female guitar player. Or visible but nobody listens. Many people cheer us because of our looks. They like to photograph us with our guitars but also want us to be half naked. I dont have a problem with my body or showing skin. I have a problem with my body being more important than my skills. If he was still alive, you wouldn't say to Kurt Cobain "Oh why don't we shoot you in underwear, your legs around the neck of the guitar?" If I want to do such a pose, than it's on ME to say it. If not, then do not shoot like that. Do not sexualize us. Do not illustrate us like WE are the groupies. Do not write about our looks, we do not play rock shows so you can ignore our music and act like it's the red carpet. Treat us like every other musician, we don't need extra. We just need a chance to be heard. Close your eyes, maybe then you are able to hear our voices. . . . #femaleguitarplayer #guitarplayer #gitarrist #gitarristin #musiker #musikerin #grrl #sheshreds #femalemusician #indie #indiephotography
