(Psalm 107: 1) When we know God has a blessing in store for us we can be very excited and often praise Him in advance of receiving. There's nothing wrong with that! It's good to praise God in the wait instead of choosing to complain. But how often do you give God thanks for the changes He has made within you? The things you used to do that you no longer have a desire to do anymore, places you no longer go, people you no longer hangout with, all these things are the result of God working on your heart by placing new desires within. That's why God said He will give us our heart desires, because He puts them there. It's a process and He's always patient with us. Not only does He wants us to have our hearts desire, He wants us to be able to keep them and not foolishly waste or take advantage of them. It's not the blessing God has to bring to us, it's us who He has to bring, prepared, to the blessing. And He is worthy of so much more thanks than we give Him. Make it a habit to start given God thanks for the changes He's made within you.
