The person who built the suite of computers that power the Fivers designed the computer to be unlocked when Mortals needed them. This person is referred to as “The Curator”. They are referred to as having “left” instead of died, but if the givers know what that means they’ve never said.
Food, Air Water, Earth, and Fire were unlocked during The Curators time, and everything since has been unlocked after. Light and Dark were unlocked at the same time, shortly after the Curator Left.”
