Much like caterpillars change into butterflies, Kidspace has experienced significant changes, most recently in the garden area. The Arroyo Adventure now boasts new exhibits that allow guests to climb and explore a Hawk’s Nest, squish and manipulate sand of the Flood & Erosion Plain, sculpt and get dirty at Mud & Clay, design and build in the Hidden Forts, and so much more! Plans are underway to open the reimagined area of the Digging Deeper Gallery in November, a new space for dramatic play and visual arts.
These changes have taken place and continue to take place because of our incredibly successful $13-million Campaign for the Future of Kidspace. Guess what? We ONLY have $500,000 left to raise and our youngest guests can help Kidspace cross the finish line as part of our Give to Grow efforts. Act now! COLLECT CHANGE and bring it to Kidspace – our new Spiral Wishing Well is waiting for YOU! It is located at the base of the S. Mark Taper Climbing Towers. Guests are having so much fun watching their coins swirl around and around, faster and faster, sometimes colliding…until they vanish into the well.
Join this FUNdraising effort – make it a family project this summer! It’s simple! Select a container (baggie, tupperware, shoebox, etc.) and fill it with found change – pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Be sure to search the car and under the couch for coins. Ask family and friends to contribute, too! All monies collected between now and Labor Day will be matched coin for coin by the GGE Foundation Challenge Grant. This means that the support you provide will be doubled!
