Season 1, episode 13: Total Nightmare. Opinions? 🧿
I love every episode where we get a focus on Snotlout and Hookfang relationship. Despite all the hardships and shaneningans that they seem to have they deeply care for each other. We know this from snotlout in the way he reacts when something is wrong with hookfang. He may not understand it instantly but he gets there. Dragon-Rider comunication may not always be the best but it works, with a few flames and tail slaps. It also once again highlighs snotlout fear of being abandoned. And Hookfang we see that he doesn't want to choose where to go, he doesn't want the conflict with snotlout but again it's kind of hard to explain that it is a temporary 'i have to help this girl get rid of the asshole titan wing give me a break'. He is hurt by knowing he is hurting snotlout when choosing the girl. To the point that he'd rather not be a dragon rider anymore if he can't be with Hooky. And then they resolve and kick ass together. Also girl hookfang is so pretty and the Titan Wing design is very edgy and cool looking.
And the way Snotlout finds a way to make what was a 'failure' in the training from the start of the episode in the key to win against the Titan Wing, even when the others don't get or trust his plan.
Snotlout knows his dragon.
