My First Morning After.
It's weird, y'know, looking back on the things you have done. Whether it be a crucial decision that would heavily impact your life or a small thing such as starting a new blog, it's always interesting to reminisce about something and decide if you did the right thing. Was it the right call to break up with your High School Sweetheart just so you could go to college a single man? Did you make the right choice by moving out of your parents' house, just to show them you could make it on your own? In my case, it's far more trivial; Do you really think that opening a Tumblr and blogging is going to make you more enthusiastic about writing (which you plan on making a career of)?
I just think, regardless of how you feel about your decision at the time, try and think of what implications your choices will have in the future. I'd rather have to make a hard choice now, then end up regretting the moment for the rest of my life.
My First Note.
Teeter-tottering on the edge of my seat, anticipating that one little red number telling me to hit F5. I'm on the precipice of happiness, but the wait is killing me. Ready to give up and CTRL+W out of my Dashboard, I see it happen. A red light flashes like it's the Fourth of July, I mash that refresh button as fast as I can and wait for my browser to finish loading.
"tickingawaymytime liked your post: My First Post."
Wow, for the first time since I opened this blog, I'm speechless. Someone actually liked something I wrote, something that I thought up, SOMETHING THAT IS FROM ME.
For the first time in my life, I mattered, thank you.
My First Post.
It's tough you know, introducing yourself in front of all these people. Whites, blacks, hispanics, vampires and Thirteen-year-old-vampire-fangirls roam these streets. I make one costly grammar mistake or have one "wrong" opinion about a 17 year old lesbian boy (who makes all these people, his "Baby(s)") and I'm thrown to the wolves, or worst, denounced as a "troll. It's tough being the new guy here, and I don't know if I'm ready.
