no like i 100% agree, going to vanaheim would make more sense. which makes me think for some reason they couldn't go to vanaheim? we know it was hard for them to travel to the other realms without the bifrost from the end of thor & the avengers, so perhaps that has to do with it?

yeah, i assume their reasoning is something like that? perhaps it is the travelling, maybe distance-wise in the mcu, vanaheim is further away than midgard? or perhaps their reason is how... the nine realms where in chaos under loki’s rule (i vaguely remember thor stating something like that?) so vanaheim was out of bounds because of that? 

but they kinda feel more like excuses, right? :/

I touched on it in my last answer, but those guys who are like ‘if you ship/like ___ you’re disgusting bye unfollow me’. That makes me feel so uncomfortable. Regardless of whether I ship it, it makes me uncomfortable. There’s a lot of ‘if you like thorki/obikin/stony/whatever ship, you’re absolutely gross and you should die haha sorry sweatie bye :))’ and honestly. It bothers me so much. Disliking a ship is fine. Calling someone disgusting isn’t. Being aggressively passive aggressive and condescending and patronizing is just so. Hurtful. Also, the tumblr witchhunting is so damaging. I’ve been part of Tumblr forever, which may have been a bad idea, because it has perpetuated a lot of the things I’m in therapy for.
