if this is final
if this is final don't come around with corpses, yellow flowers, sensitive summons on the answering machine. if this is final No purring greets you at the door Record shards in dumpsters Smash Mouth- not worth the postage. if this is final Grout stains attest to your name bones are sore, I've drunk all the beers the liquor store closes at ten. if this is final I'm sitting on a bench in the park relief, high heels that aren’t you rising “...and don’t forget to pick” falling “up the Chinese food at…” if this is final I want my forks and spoons back I spread my legs in bed- sunlight speckles on the wall or only paint chips.
"What if the alive alien warship was also transgender," I ask myself, outlining a transition for something which does not exist in a material or metaphysical way that corresponds easily to anything from earth, and who literally has a soul composed of gravity.
I had assumed I'd be curled up next to a bass boosted speaker writing, but I ended up being sociable so here's links to writing.
The story of a young, trans werewolf woman who befriends a six billion year old alien warship and the friends she makes along the way.
Pretty close to finished!
The story about a brain eating parasitoid annelid colony which becomes the reanimated body and mind of a cyborg trans woman with the abiltiy to absorb the destructive emissions of a parallel universe which is causing the material destruction of earth. It follows her post resurrection search for her lover, Athena, and the defense of an anarchist collective organized around several city blocks which is attempting to disconnect from the fascistic oppression of the USA undertaken by a greatly expanded FCC which utilizes broadcast frequency and radiant energy to maintain a rigid metaphysical structure that resists destruction by the alternate universe.
It's just starting out.
And Vivisection which is a finished short story about two transbian pilots for biohorror mechs. They have PTSD and bad communication skills.
Sure the alive alien warship has PTSD, no surprise there, but also it has gifted child syndrome
Part 5: Search & Destroy
a story by @rox-and-prose and @cipheramnesia
"What happened? Are you okay?" Laika held one eye half-closed, trying to block out spots of color. She could smell singed hair on her face, but somehow kept the presence of mind to navigate the structure resolution. Genghis Khan's readouts were pouring information into her eyes that she didn't understand, and could barely focus on. It probably wasn't the structure drives - that felt right, though she couldn't say why.
If I revisit the universe of Genghis Khan and The Wolf Girl (or a similar setting) I would want to make the approach through the idea of a knight who is trying to slay a dragon. Set on a smaller scale, with a protagonist somewhat akin to the titular character of Version 43, a knight in concept and in appearance over the course of replacing their body part by part, over and over. Held together as much by alien curses as spite, existing outside sex or gender or sexuality. A living star of a dragon with wings the size of a solar system, manifesting itself across multiple parts of time where the world distorts and falls away around the knight who carries on every day.
