Genloss Hardware Pt. 1

Hardwear in genloss is scaleable. It gets treated differently for each case and through everything we see its visibly shown that different characters with different levels of hardwear physically incorperated have different strengths / weaknesses / limits. So heres a piece by piece breakdown both canon and theory. this is one of my favorite topics

in my personal order of weakest to strongest. 1. Sneeg = One item holds the data for 2 characters: Front face / Back face

Sneegs hat is the most exploitable of the main cast. its removeable. something thats not just an oversight but a feature. the ep 2 hat scene wasnt a new character, it was an overload of current that woke him up. This is still intentional, seeing as the founder wanted to show us this scene and kept it in TFC. what WASNT intentional, was the weakened technology waking up sneeg OFF camera and almost getting out.

2. Jerma

= Internal base hardware + character outer shell = Allowed to see cameras = Aware of audience

Jerma is the most uniquely controlled because unlike the others, he still gets imbued with the character of The Puzzler, but he has these extra allowances because in this case jerma is patient 0. he was part of showfalls beta-project as the main character in Jermas Dollhouse. this was the experimental grounds for showfall to controll a protagonist through a show and jerma is still running on the same outdated code.

3. Charlie

= Able to run 2 character items without overloading Charlie being able to hold two items: Glasses/ Headphones + Glasses/horns while sneeg gets overloaded by it both proving that sneeg had planned obsolescence and that charlie was never "truely" there for ep 3 is actually peak.

4. Ranboo

= Wired to the audience = Live third party corrections / script updates

Ranboo was the most solidly under thumb. he HAD hardware exploits from memory lapse, planned clarity episodes, and interacting the most with us and the surrounding, but ranboo was also the only one built to have live corrections and updates to keep him on path or even employees coming in to realign the mask if something on the physical end was going wrong. Hes generally the one that had no chance.

Something i think is really interesting about GenLoss is that we got missing/found posters for Sneeg and Charlie

However in the game the binary for Charlie the Villain whereas with Sneeg is the Friend(? Or smth similar, a /pos connotation)

So i think theres some sort of brainwashing and mindfuckery going on, and Charlie is now under Showfall Medias thumb, and Sneeg is still resisting it or they havent fully gotten him yet.

And then theres Jerma, who in his trailer release bit sounds a bit ominous and is offputting by saying something vaguely threatening, but unlike Sneeg, Charlie, and Ranboo has not had a missing poster. Thus i don’t think he’s really under Showfall Media, along with the fact that in the game the character we can assume is Jerma (since its also assumed that you play as Ran) the binary translates to the Savior.

Theres also the possibility that this is a red herring and that Showfall Media is trying to trick us into believing that Charlie is the villain (hence the binary) and Jerma the Savior when in reality it’s the other way around.

OK BUT. AU IDEA.

Since at this point it probably COULD be canon-What if the Jerma Dollhouse was a previous Showfall special and Gl!Jerma was a PREVIOUS HERO LIKE RANBOO?? And later since the fans must have voted to keep him around he becomes the puzzler and he’s been trying to secretly get contestants out of Showfall if he can by fake ‘killing’ them on his show- (I know this bit is VERY not canon but it’s an AU for a reason and just a fun concept-) and THAT’S WHY HE LEFT RANBOO A WAY OUT BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN IN THAT POSITION TOO A LONG TIME AGO. Perhaps-maybe the reason he isn’t completely controlled is HIS DEVICE IS BROKEN (possibly earpiece-a reference to the BTS videos that mentioned Jerma’s earpiece was broken-), potentially since that segment in Jerma Dollhouse where one of the demon things yeets him out a window?

Genloss Theory!!!!

Okay so I was watching the teaser for tomorrow and I was sat there like ??? This doesn't look like anything we've seen so far, this is just a trailer for an episode of a horror TV show

But then I realised

There are three shows

Three people

Three days

I think each day is going to be a different "episode" by Showfall Media, and they're all going to be your standard Goosebumps style horror stories. Not a whole lot of depth, easily able to stand on their own, maybe even Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style

And throughout the shows, that's when the real story unfolds, the story of the people behind the characters. I think we'll learn about them through broadcast interruptions and screen glitches

So obviously Charlie is first. I think it's likely he's not going to be on the hero's side outside of the Showfall broadcast, mainly because the binary on the website translated the green shirt friend to The Villain. It would also make sense because if Showfall has been having issues with interrupted broadcasts, they would want to have their first show go as smoothly as possible, so viewers return. If they run the episode in which they've got one of their own acting as a character, the likelihood of fuckery decreases since half of the (confirmed) cast will have the same goal as the producers. Additionally, this is the first official Showfall broadcast that has not been interrupted, which I believe would be harder to do if more people were preventing it

Day two is very likely going to be Jerma's story. I'm just basing this off his stream yesterday in which he heavily emphasised showing up for the 26th when saying he'd be in the show. He's probably going to be playing the character of The Savior, if the shirt colours in the game are anything to go off of. I assume as well that, since days 2 and 3 are emphasized to be very connected, this is when shit will start to hit the fan for Showfall. I think this is when they'll start to lose control over their actors, but I also think they are aware of this potential. I expect it to get messy for the company in this episode, and I expect the repercussions of that mess to spill into day 3

Day three will be Sneeg, by process of elimination. Sneeg will probably be The Taken (because blue shirt) and will likely have suffered the most (save for The Hero) under Showfall Media's thumb. I would not be surprised if he's an old employee that found out too much. A whistleblower maybe? Perhaps he tried to warn people (the rest of our cast probably) about the truth behind Showfall and they fuckin yoinked him. Wouldn't be surprised, in the GL universe Showfall seems to be a large company, and they'd probably have the resources (and motivation) to do that. This day I think is going to be the most disastrous for the cast, and I fully expect the episode Showfall plans to air to be completely derailed

Now, there's also the possibility that Sneeg and Jerma will be switched, due to the order of appearance of the people in the game on the website.

I also think that Jerma is going to be an unlikely ally, as the character of The Saviour was introduced to us as a stranger, while Charlie will probably be someone who betrays The Hero, because the Villain character was introduced to us as a friend

It's also likely that Jerma and Sneeg's characters will have known each other prior, with Jerma being the one who escaped from Showfall's wrath when they discovered the truth. I do not have an explanation for why he's called The Saviour though, save for it possibly being because he's the one who brought The Hero into the world through that dumpster portal in the website game

This also means that The Hero may not actually be from the world where Showfall exists, and by extension perhaps none of the cast are originally from that universe either

It's also very possible that The Saviour will be the one who actually saves the people in the episodes, while The Hero ultimately perishes

Or maybe The Saviour is actually The Hero but older (Ranboo and Jerma have close enough hair colours that this could be possible and I'm willfully ignoring the height difference)

Anyways I'm really fucking excited RAAAAAAAAAH

Anniversary post - 2

the main 3 lines here are 1- he had been doing this for a while 2- character that had been tried before 3- performers cant go on long on the old technology 1- I made a theory on this already and in a very very rare case, i take this as saying it was actually right This <- is the original theory from a year ago (holy!) if you want to read it in more depth, its about how jerma became a cast member as a sort of patient 0 situation, where hes been under showfalls thumb for MUCH longer then any of the other cast members.

2- I take this as simple acknowledgement that The Puzzler just...IS bootleg Jigsaw. that episode 2 simply IS the 'Saw episode'. that even in the world of generation loss this idea was fully ripped and just nodding to that. 3- I love, adore in fact, that cast members have different levels of hardware implemented from showfall. if the cast is having their actions and views filtered for the sake of the story then They Require Different Levels Of Hardware. this is straight up confirmed and i will talk about it forever.

its implied that puzzler has internal hardware similar to ranboo or charlie since this is the crumbs we can take from Jermas dollhouse. but that it had to be updated due to how faulty it is. jerma knows its a show jerma knows about the audience this is something that he as the puzzler neither pushes on or hides. the other way to think of puzzler is that he doesnt have a cool mask or glass but all of the updated hardware is just grafted onto his face.

But Charlie never gets called “the Villain” in any capacity. Who else could it be?
