The river crossings we encounter enroute a Himalayan trek are always exciting and challenging. Fun as they are one has to always be careful while doing so. A number of glacial streams tend to get a good increase in the amount of water after noon. Therefore always be aware of the same. Hire local/experienced guides who have a good know how of the terrain.
