It took more force than one would believe to come from a woman so small. Setting a shoulder back into place was neither easy nor something Lunafreya took lightly, especially when it concerned the King's closest friends. Appreciative of the lack of reactions towards the pain she would no doubt remove with the use of her abilities. Hearing an unsettling pop when the bone was reconnected back into its rightful place, the Oracle took a step back to allow the shield easy movement of his arm.
❝Please, don't fret about that. I'm just glad I was able to help. A shield is no use to the King with a dislocated shoulder, after all.❞

The shake jerked him out of a daze and Noctis scowled. They'd been walking for what felt like hours now and Noctis still wasn't sure if they were going to meet up with the guys again. "I-yeah..."
He wanted to say something - anything - about the separation from Ignis and Prompto being his fault, but the words wouldn't come. Noctis clenched his teeth and turned to slowly follow. Gladio's taller stature meant that one of his steps was almost four of Noctis's. He was easily left behind.
A sharp gasp left him as he was picked up and morphed into an indignant squawk. Arms went right around Gladio's shoulders and Noctis squirmed as pain needled its way up his spine. A blush came over his cheeks and he huffed.
"It'll be better when we find Ignis and Prompto and get to rest. Aren't there havens around here or something? ...We could have cell reception if we stand on a mountain."

The heat in Lestallum was quite a challenge. It was fortunate that it cooled down significantly during the evenings. It made walking around the town far more bearable, enjoyable even.
“I don’t feel entirely comfortable with the idea of Noctis and Prompto roaming around by themselves.” It was hard to stop worrying for Noctis, even if a rational part of Ignis’ mind reminded him of the fact that Noctis was an adult. So was Prompto, but that didn’t assure Ignis in the slightest.
But he wasn’t here to worry, and he wasn’t here to drag Gladiolus down with his unreasonable anxiety. They had wanted some time for themselves to spend it together, and it was supposed to be enjoyable and relaxing. He let his eyes wander over the various stalls in the market and they lit up when he found some especially juicy-looking vegetables.
“How about a stew for dinner?” He gently halted Gladio by placing his palm on a strong bicep, and gestured towards very bright orange carrots and very lush green salads. “With potatoes and breast from the chicatrices you slayed last night.” Something red caught his eyes, and he was delighted to see it were Lucian tomatoes. “I haven’t had any of those ever since we...took off.” And the price was undermining their now very rare status.

Prompto kept his hands on his lap, fingers crossed one another while his eyes never left Gladiolus. The day had by far... been rather rough. From lack of gathering supplies to a couple of slip-ups both with hunting as well as unwanted visits from magitek dropped near their locations. Overall, it was rough, and it had become apparent at camp that it wasn't settling well with the big guy. His lips had pressed together, forming a thin line as he slowly nodded his head to the first comment. There were lots of things that the smaller blond couldn't handle, one being seeing those he called friends alone, and upset... or brooding, he wasn't sure what it was for Gladio just yet.
He sucked in some air as he shook his head, "Nah, I rather keep you company. Even if it is in silence." There was a lazy shrug of his shoulders while a goofy smile formed on his lips, "I took a few pictures from earlier when we got caught up with those magick, I thought you'd like to see the one I caught of you. It looks totally badass, might make you smile."

“I don’t need to try. Just attempting to help you flirt. So I made it food related. Remember it for next time you need it.” He crossed his arms, smirking, very much amused. “Wanna repeat it after me?”
“well in that case, it is .. appreciated.” is he really that bad at flirting? or perhaps he hadn’t tried in earnest. “ah, i am a snack, yet everyone seems to be on a diet. is that not---a tad contradictory to itself? if they are on a diet, they cannot have --- the snack.” unless he’s missing a vital point somewhere.

It did not happen often that Noctis was totally annoyed by Gladio. But that night was different. The otherwise so tired prince just could not fall asleep. Something was bothering him, but he could not grasp what it was. And the steady snoring of the shield did not make it easy for him to come to rest somehow.
“Six, Gladio. Your snoring is more disturbing than the disgusting cries of the demon’s.” he scoffed but his voice calmed down again not to wake the other two.

EVER CURIOUS, 9S wastes no time in turning the small heap of metal and cables in his hands on all of its sides once it makes its way to him. It’s similar to nothing that he’s seen before as far as he can tell. There’s no exact reason as to why something like this has been created other than an ( unfortunately failed ) attempt at inventing. . . something. No idea what exactly.
Lips begin twisting into a pout the more he inspects the piece of technology in his hands and he realizes that, at best, it’s just junk. At worst? Something he’s been handed as to distract him from the passage of time until the person he’s supposed to accompany arrives. How rude! He most definitely does not need to be treated like a child! . . . even if he’s been content fiddling with the thing for however long it took him to figure out it’s nothing more than just scrap thrown together.
The sound of approaching footsteps has the android tilt his head to the side slowly before he looks up. Silence for but a moment before he straightens his position. “ Sir! ” an edge of something akin to cheerfulness or maybe even excitement to his words. How can he not be happy? Working together with somebody is always nice for somebody who doesn’t get the chance to do it often. “ I am Number 9 Type S or simply 9S and from now on I’ll accompany you! It’s a pleasure to be working together. “
