1. Single layer of foundation

2. Concealer (blend with sponge, use fingers under eyes)

3. Use a powder puff to press and roll translucent powder into skin

4. Contour nose with smudgy brush by drawing desired shape

5. Blend with a fluffier brush

6. Use sponge to put translucent powder on bridge and sides of nose

7. Use an angled brush to contour cheekbones (darker shade than bronzer)

8. Blend out with cool toned bronzer

9. Use a beauty blender to put translucent powder on cheekbones and blend up diagonally

10. Cut jawline using an angled brush

11. Use blush right above contour

11. Use a little brush to put blush under and on top of nose

You know some things are to be avoided regarding makeup glam on your wedding day. We had fun listing the unavoidable elements to remember for a successful makeup and to enumerate the mistakes not to commit.

1 - CHOOSE THE RIGHT MAKEUP ARTIST

Do not hesitate to ask for a makeup glam test with the D-Day to see if you are on the same wavelength. Look a little on the internet or in magazines the types of makeup you like: natural, glamorous, sophisticated, etc. so you can show your makeup artist the trends you like.

2 - CHOOSE A MAKE-UP TO SUIT YOUR DRESS

If your dress is romantic, full of lightness, avoid a too sophisticated dark makeup.

3 - BE CAREFUL WITH THE WEATHER BEFORE APPLYING YOUR MAKEUP

If you get married in summer, the heat is overwhelming, consider using products that are not too greasy and oil-free. Otherwise, your skin may glow in the first few minutes. Keep handy matte ready as you go in the face from time to time to keep your makeup intact.

4 - CHOOSE A MAKE-UP ADAPTED TO PHOTOGRAPHS

Use a matte dyed bottom, not too fluid and apply a fixer at the end of your makeup so that the powder (blush, eye-shadows) stays in place.

5 - GRADUALLY APPLY YOUR MAKEUP

Put the products in turn; it would be a shame to see embarrassing to have a makeup too thick, frozen. Avoid excessive glam wedding makeup.

6 - THINK ABOUT MOISTURIZING YOUR SKIN BEFORE APPLYING MAKEUP

Then lay down your matte base. Continue with the foundation, apply with a sponge or brush. Then go to the concealer, eye shadow, blush and finish with fixed or HD matte transparent powder.

7 - GO FOR A WATERPROOF GLAM WEDDING MAKEUP

You are not safe to shed a few tears or be surprised by a storm. It would make it confusing to see the bride decompose under the effect of a few drops of water. Use a water resistant mascara or waterproof glue for false eyelashes.

8 - PROVIDE A SMALL MAKE-UP KIT

You will be able to entrust to your witness or your relatives a small package of retouches to allow you to make some retouches make-ups during the day. Lipstick or gloss is essential; you can touch up quickly enough on this side following the kisses with your husband or the congratulations of your guests.

9 - If a few days before the wedding, a spot or button appears on your face avoid touching it. In the case of an unsightly button, consult a dermatologist who will apply a little cortisone to shrink instantly.

10 - If your wedding happens mainly outside, consider using a moisturizer and a foundation that includes a sunscreen SPF20 or 30, it would be a shame if you had a sunburn during your big day.

Makeup Tips to Get Your Glam On

We hear a lot about no-makeup makeup looks and how they’re all the rage. And while we love wearing them, it’s always fun to take things up a notch sometimes. In fact, a full-on makeup glam look can give those special nights an extra flair. If you’re in the mood to go all-out with your makeup, do it right with these tried and tested tips.

1. Layer and layer

The key to a great glam makeup look is to layer. Avoid piling on everything at once. When you’re done with a layer of foundation, for instance, go over uneven areas with another layer. 

Apply the product thinly and buff it into the skin so that it doesn’t look caked but natural. Do the same with bronzer and blush.

2. Shimmer is your friend

3. Don’t skip lashes

6. Try cut crease

The cut crease technique can give a very interesting touch to any makeup look. It involves two different eyeshadow colours, one on the lids and the other above the crease with a space in the middle. You can create even more drama with a cat-eye flick using both the eyeshadows.

7. Accentuate your brows

No glam makeup is complete without well-accentuated brows. They shouldn’t look drawn on, but they should be easily visible. Use a sharp brow pencil to create brow hairs or use a brow powder to fill in sparse areas. Set everything in place with a brow gel.
