031. a spacious walk-in closet full of lovely clothes 🌕 setting prompts
“ i'm not sure this is — ” theo begins to object, and doesn't get to finish with my thing before they're being tugged into the truly limitless bounds of saturn's closet. any excuse they could have thought of immediately dies when they see just how bountiful saturn's collection is, what must be every color of the rainbow represented on the racks.
they glance over their shoulder at saturn, dark brows furrowing when they notice he's already holding two shirts up to them.
“ ah, ” theo says, the pieces finally clicking. they think about objecting; shortly after, they give up on that idea. “ fine. only an hour, though, all right? ” saturn's smile is knife-shape, mischievous, as he tugs theo out of his current shirt and begins buttoning up a deep, silk number dyed in shades of royal purple and blue.
inevitably, when that hour ticks over into two, theo doesn't complain. saturn continues draping them in beautiful, expensive fabrics, in ivory buttons and genuine leathers, theo watching concentration wrinkle his brow and purse his lips. he has a goal in mind; what that goal is, though, isn't shared with theo, and they patiently take the clothes that are offered to them and discard them when saturn shakes his head.
finally, saturn's eyes light up. theo catalogues the slow path of his grin widening, the slight dilation of his pupils. they turn at the waist, a hand flattening over their own stomach; saturn had dug up an off-white linen shirt, pinstriped in gold, and left it unbuttoned to their sternum. in the mirror, they don't think it's anything special — just them in nicer clothing than usual. saturn lingers at the pocket, fingertips smoothing over invisible wrinkles and tugging at the lap so it sits perfectly.
for saturn, though — theo is willing to make some concessions.
“ leave it to you to find the perfect shirt for me, ” theo grins,resting their palm over saturn's knuckles. “ i don't have one for you, i'm afraid. i'm sure we could find one in here together. ”
