i’ve had an argument in class over the speaking protagonist thing (game art class: art is cool, learning about the industry is cool, classmates not so cool because of this shit) and everyone’s just like ‘FALLOUT 4 WAS BAD BECAUSE THE PROTAGONIST SPOKE AND IT TAKES AWAY FROM YOU ROLEPLAYING YOUR CHARACTER IN AN RPG!!!!!!’ as if they’ve made the smartest analysis in the history of the class and i just can’t deal with it because this argument literally only started popping up when fallout 4 was released

at times like those i have vivid flashovers to people online praising mass effect and dragon age for having customisable characters AND speaking protagonists and literally no one complains about the fact lmao

lmao that just might be it..... ive played the hell outta skyrim even tho every quest is going to the same draugr cave.... everyone says oblivion has way more interesting quests and that sounds dope but i just?? cant?? get sucked into the game at all???
