Glasgow three-piece Halfrican deliver a blast of heavy, heavier, heaviest melodic noise with Life is Hard. But the rousing anthemic and carefully curated sounds that do not distract from the  intense vocals. This is beautiful fuzzed out garage poetry. a.p.e. is a Glasgow based indie-pop quartet composed of Mitch Flynn, Matthew Simpson, Callum McCance & Blair Andrew who recently released their debut self titled LP (it’s fantastic!)  with help from Chalk House Collective. Have a listen to soulful track Bohemian Sex God with emotive vocals and soul-full atmospheric melody. The entire release is available to download from their Badncamp and I suggest you do.

Future Glue is a quartet based in Glasgow made up of Craig Kenny, Stu Milne, Stephen Hackett and Keith Harcus who play a heady intense blend of rock, punk and psychedelic. Have a listen to track Time to Kill which boasts growing vocals and a melody thicker than quicksand. You will succumb and fall head over heels in love with their sound. I know I did. We continue our focus on Glasgow with the introduction to this four piece below. 

Glasgow four-piece Great Cop offer up a heavy punk anthem with Sick of Me. Loaded with gorgeous guitars and vocals that you will be singing along with and playing as loudly as possible.  At the moment they are working on a full length but have releases two EPs you may check out here

We continue our week focusing on the music of Glasgow by introducing you to this band who formed in 2012 and are known for their angst-fueled alt tunes!

Atmospheric grunge rock from Glasgow quartet Keeping Dirt Clean  who with their track Cough Drops give us smooth vocal delivery and heavy melody  and textured sound. This is one track that everyone at a show would be expected to be singing along with the lead singer when it is played. Cough Drops is pulled from their recently released EP2 that you can download and stream in it`s entirely via their Bandcamp.

Here we have Glasgow based pop quartet Kill Surrrf ( Johnny Lynn - Vocals + Guitar Thomas Dornan - Guitar Ciaran Gilbert - Bass + Keys Matthew Turner - Drums )who are a mix of soda fountain doo-woop and slick surf melodies that should be played as loud as possible over a vintage jukebox. Have a listen to dreamy and dramatic and eternally romantic I Can`t Sleep for Dreaming of You released last year and available to stream on their Bandcamp.
