Following up on the Glengoyne 10yo, I have the 12yo în review as well 👌🏻. . In short, the 12yo Glengoyne can be described as a perfect mix of sweet flavors and woody notes. Launched in 2009, the range is distilled from non-smoked barley, but unexpectedly for a Glengoyne whisky, it is also aged in bourbon barrels (25%) in addition to the already usual sherry barrels. The expression thus enriches its aromatic profile with mild aromas of vanilla and citrus from the bourbon barrels, as well as fruity notes from the sherry barrels and outlines a sophisticated aromatic profile, with an extraordinary balance. . Here is my review:. . Nose: Predominantly sweet bouquet, with notes of cereal, cookies, honeycomb and lemon peel. . Palate: Aroma of caramelized apple, cookies, orange, ginger, vanilla and sherry influences. . Finish: Dry, fragrant. . Color: Intense gold. . This is another good whisky from Glengoyne.
