I love your Phantom of the Opera art. Especially when you draw the various actors who have played Erik because you draw Lon Chaney so cuuuute!!!
Oh man I haven’t drawn phantom stuff in forever. But I am glad you enjoy my interpretation of Lon Chaney. :’ D
I've had I've Got Skin stuck in my head this whole week
guess you could say it got under your skin
B U R K E
Thank you!
B. Admittedly, Lucy/Luna hadn’t really crossed my mind until you brought it to my attention, and while it’s not my biggest ship, I do think it’s very cute, and a nice compliment to Burke/Beaver Hat-vampires and the mortals they love!
U. Frodo Baggins (The Lord of the Rings), Negaduck (Darkwing Duck), Rotwang (Metropolis), Bill (Pokemon), and Harry Lime (The Third Man)!
R. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who ships Larry/Ilonka, seeing as how the Universal Monster sequels are so often overlooked (House of Frankenstein included), and I think people are more for Larry/Gwen…oh well!
K. I’m assuming this is about a character from a fandom, so I’ll say this to Dr. Van Helsing of Dracula fame: You are such a warm and wonderful character, a personal favorite of mine, in both the Crew of Light and classic literature in general.
E. As you know, I’ve done a whole host of Universal Monsters/Metropolis + Text Posts/Onion Headlines of varying success; just my little contribution to the fandoms (no matter how small)!
In fact, I should do a masterlist of those, just for quick access…

Ohh! Farallone for the character meme
Thank you!
-Farallone didn’t seek out the anarchist society so much as he was sort of lured into it-after a frustrating day of work, he wound up venting to Lillith at a local bar, and upon hearing this impassioned speech, she offered him a place in the organization, feeling he was the right kind of man for the job. Having been taken by her, he agreed without hesitation.
-Mostly due to his job, Farallone doesn’t sleep well: Although he feels the society is doing something no one else will, he is sometimes kept awake at night at the thought of being judge, jury, and executioner for people. He denies it every time, however, not wanting to appear weak in front of the others (Lillith in particular).
-Never let Farallone get behind the wheel when he’s all worked up, because if so, he drives like a maniac, throwing all caution to the winds as he speeds down the street. Sometimes he’ll go driving in a secluded area, just to blow off a little steam.
-Farallone is by no means a social butterfly: Thankfully, the society doesn’t generally get chummy with one another, and even if it did, it would be hard to get him to open up-he’s always been a loner, but in his heart, he does yearn to have at least one person to talk and connect with.
-Farallone has an impressive poker face: He’s not a big gambler, but in the times he’s played, he’s actually done pretty well, partly because he’s so hard to read, giving him something of an advantage over his fellow players.
Actually I meant Burke or Beaver Hat for the character fact meme! Everyone knows they're both too cute to choose from pffff
Oh, sorry! I think I’ve given a lot of headcanons for Burke lately, so I’ll give some for Beaver Hat!
-Beaver Hat often tries to tame the tangled, curly mess that is his hair, doing whatever he can to comb it down, tie it back, anything and everything, and yet it still refuses to do what he wants. For the most part, he’s given up trying to tame it.
-A frequenter of London nightclubs, Beaver Hat isn’t necessarily always seen by partygoers, preferring to lay low when he goes (as his appearance might creep the other patrons out), and has since become something a myth, a spook who haunts clubs in all of London’s districts. Beaver Hat thinks it’s cool. Luna isn’t sure what to think. Burke hopes someone doesn’t connect the dots from BH back to him, for the sake of his reputation.
-Beaver Hat sincerely tries not to scare people when he doesn’t mean to, but he ends up doing it anyways, especially when it comes to Smithson-every time he’s tried to apologize for frightening her during the Balfour case, she screams and faints! It was funny the first few times, but eventually, he just gave up and sent her flowers and an apology card.
-Being a vampire, Beaver Hat tends to get cold easily, and thus bundles up frequently, no matter time of the year it is. Burke was shocked to see him in a big, heavy coat on the hottest day in August, shivering as he drank his lemonade, while Burke himself had stripped away his coat and vest and had popped some of the buttons on his shirt and rolled up his sleeves!
-Unlike Burke, who prefers more refined literature, Beaver Hat likes pulpy, two-fisted, cheap dime stories, stories that are often lurid and poorly-written, but entertaining nonetheless. He gets a kick out of them, no matter how horrible they are, while Burke just doesn’t see the appeal.
Burke or Beaver Hat
I never want to play favorites with these two, honestly, considering they’re both my favorite characters from London After Midnight! I think, ultimately, however, I’d go with Burke, mostly because I feel he deserves a little more love and attention, what with Beaver Hat, as the unspoken mascot of the film, getting all the spotlight.
