the type of music i listen to when i’m basically wearing a hiroaki cosplay:
Can I get some fun facts about Mieko? What languages do they know? Do they know ASL (or JSL)? In terms of work, what do they do professionally?
She knows multiple versions of sign language! (Not part of the question but the HOW to all of this is: They grew up speaking 3 languages, lived in a small town with many cultures with MORE languages, and just generally learned a lot, plus she managed to pick up on body language from how people talk if they’re speaking a language they don’t know!)
As for her profession, she has a lot of stuff she does. She always works 2 part-time jobs: A local ice cream shop during the summer, a coffee shop year-round, and as a petsitter during the winter times when people travel! She also volunteers for a charity organization! They have a well-off family, so she doesn’t NEED to work, but they do! They don’t think they’re old enough to be a professional translator, but they have worked some translating jobs!

Arashi Rei Vero- This is what I decided to rename Serena to. She still goes by Rien, and is still the Ultimate Dancer. Is currently in a relationship with Ume Evans (not a very healthy one…) She also, as well as dancing, has an interest in fashion design, having designed her own stage outfits.
Ume Evans- Used to be Estella Vel. She’s the Ultimate Tattoo Artist, and does piercings as well as that. Her business isn’t… super… legal… but it’s fine! Surprisingly, her shop is incredibly sterile and clean. She’s a huge clean freak and is TERRIFIED of getting sick. She is also fairly manipulative and guilt-trippy. Lies a lot…
Rin Yuriko- Ultimate DJ! Love love love them. They’re generally a very sweet person and incredibly likable and trustable. They have also worked as a bartender for some time, which is what got them into DJ-ing. They have an older sister who is a small music artist, but their sister has recently gotten into trouble with some labels.
Mieko Kai- Ultimate Interpreter!!! I love love love their talent. She can interpret pretty much anything- from anither language to body language to just really shitty handwriting. They’re gonna be from somewhere coastal… beach girlie… Pretty beach lesbian…
Lilith Stella- Ultimate Makeup Artist! Love them. They’re my baby. My silly. They’re a fashion nerd too. They also bake little treats. Ultimate Silly. I adore them. Ultimate No Social Skills Only Special Interests.
Katsuki Akko- Ultimate Merman. Basically just He Has Lungs. Ultimate Fruity Guy. Ultimate Twink (not really.) Ultimate Homosexual. Little beach boy. The only character I will make that’s close to buff. Sassy. A little diva bitch. But like. With a backbone. He’s Mean With A Purpose. But like in a idgaf way.
Hiroshi Valen- Ultimate Antiquist or something. Ultimate Antique Collector. He has a little section in his Aunt’s thrift store and it’s very fancy. My little trad goth boy. Cross-dressing king.
