To honor the anniversary of Warhol’s birthday, August 6, 2013 The Andy Warhol Museum and EarthCam launched a collaborative project titled Figment, a live feed of Warhol’s gravesite. This live feed, viewable 24 hours a day, seven days a week worldwide is available above.
See what the The New Yorker has to say about future author Mario Algaze: "Cuban-born Mario Algaze's work is truly elegant. The formally structured compositions and powerful sense of light lends well to his black and white prints. The works are timeless and approach reminiscent of Atget, Bravo, and Kertesz. We are at first surprised when our eyes wander to the print's dates. Many works are from the 80's, 90's, and present but have a reflexive quality. The eye of Algaze is romantic, grand, classic, even noble. We find ourselves delighted at the artist's ability to elevate our time to another plane. We feel a power of perspective as though the lens of time were lengthened and we were looking from a further point back onto these captured moments. This survey exhibition of 35 prints draws images from Latin America and the Caribbean in landscapes, cityscapes, and still-lifes. Truly exceptional images."

“I’m a tireless worker; I don’t consider painting a work, it is not an obligation, I do it for pleasure; I haven’t found anything that amuses me more than painting.” -Fernando Botero
